Q1 - What is a Prayer Challenge?

A - It is a rallying cry, a challenge to us parents to designate a few minutes each day for 31 days to pray about specific aspects of our child’s life.

Q2 – How long does it take?

A – The text prayer is very short. It therefore only takes a few minutes. As you go through the day meditating on the scriptures, the Lord may reveal other areas to expand your prayers to. Remember prayers, conversations with God, are a privilege you get to enjoy, not a chore you have to do.

Q3 - Why should I pray for my children?

A – Parenting is very hard. The best way to quiet our anxious thoughts about our children is to pray. To pray is to converse with God, to tell Him what you are concerned about, and trust Him to still your heart, quiet your mind, and allow Him to wrap you up in the comfort of His tender love.

Q4 - How do I know what to pray about?

A – Each day you will receive a short scripture-based prayer by text based on a specific characteristic we wish to cultivate in our children. Read it. Meditate on it. Use as a prayer prompt and share your innermost thoughts with the Lord.

Q5 – What time do the prayers arrive?

A – The text prayers are sent out at 7 am CST.

Q6 – What if I am at work or busy?

A – You are not required to pray at 7 am. You can pray at any time during the day. The text prayer is simply a prompt to help get you started.

Q7 – Would the prayers be sent to me every day?

A – Yes, Heartfelt Prayers Ministry will text the prayers to you every day for 30 days.

Q8 – How do I sign up?

Click here or text “P4C” to 405/393-8200

Q9 – May I share this with my friends and family?

A – Yes, please do. Let us come together to intercede for our children and pray that they embrace the depth of God’s love for them and the sufficiency of God’s grace.
